4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in a 4-3 loss to Detroit. Buxton entered the game in the bottom of the fifth inning as a defensive replacement for Brent Rooker- and proceeded to continue his torrid start to the season. It's a great sign for fantasy managers, as the 27-year-old outfielder had been dealing with an illness, though he sure seems to be past the issue. Buxton hasn't had much success in his career against Wednesday's starter, Matthew Boyd- though the former is rolling right now and should get the benefit of the doubt in virtually any matchup.--Tim Capurso
