Eugenio Suarez's Average Dips To .111
4 years agoCincinnati Reds shortstop Eugenio Suarez went 0-for-4 with a run in a 14-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday. The hitless outing drops Suarez's batting average to just .111 in 18 at-bats. He has one homer, four runs, and two RBI on the young season. It is still early and Suarez has plenty of time to get turned around, although one has to wonder if his struggles in the field at shortstop have played into his performance at the plate. After spending most of his career at third base, Suarez has made three errors at shortstop in the Reds' first five games. Fantasy gamers will want to stay patient with Suarez despite the struggles as he could have a big year, especially hitting in the middle of what has been a dominant Cincy lineup thus far.
