4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Kyle Gibson rebounded from a terrible first start of the season to shut out the Toronto Blue Jays over six innings of work on Wednesday. The veteran right-hander allowed six hits and one walk in the 2-1 victory. He also struck out eight batters. In his previous outing versus the Kansas City Royals, Gibson failed to get out of the first innings after allowing five earned runs. He's expected to help provide stability to a rotation that has a lot of question marks as the 2021 season gets underway. Last year, Gibson allowed 73 hits and 30 walks with a 5.35 ERA in 67.1 innings of work. He has one more year remaining on his Rangers contract after this season.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
