4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks pitcher Caleb Smith has been moved from the starting rotation to the bullpen, according to The Athletic's Zach Buchanan. Manager Torey Lovullo made the announcement on Wednesday, after Smith's rough outing on Saturday in which he allowed four runs — three earned — on five hits and three walks in three innings against the Padres. Smith had also struggled this spring, allowing 20 runs on 26 hits and 11 walks in 21 innings. It's unlikely that a move to the bullpen will do anything to increase Smith's fantasy value going forward.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
