4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez struck out four times during Thursday night's 7-5 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. He went 1-for-5 with both a run scored and a run driven in. Through seven games, he's hitting just .207 with an ugly BB-K of 0-14 in 29 at-bats. This is hardly the start the Jays were hoping for from Hernandez after he had a breakout year in 2020. Last season, the 28-year-old outfielder produced a 143 wRC+ and was trending for his first 30+ home run season but he was limited to just 50 games due to the pandemic. It's too early to worry about Hernandez but the slow start is certainly not helping the Blue Jays who are seeing many of their hitters struggle early in the season.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
