4 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Julian Merryweather had another strong outing for the club on Thursday night during the 7-5 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. The high-leverage reliever came into a tie game and pitched both the ninth and the 10th innings. He did not allow a run and struck out two batters. Merryweather has now thrown four innings over three games this season. He has seven strikeouts and has allowed just a single walk and one hit. He's also earned two saves for the club and should be snapped up in most fantasy formats given his key usage by manager Charlie Montoyo.
