4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Cole Irvin allowed four runs in 5 1/3 innings pitched while taking the loss Thursday in Houston. Irvin was plagued by the long ball in this one allowing two homers to Astros batters. The left-hander has given up four runs in less than six innings in both of his starts this season and seems like the logical candidate to move to the bullpen when Mike Fiers (back) returns from injury. He'll face a much easier test in his next start against a strikeout-happy Tigers lineup, but Irvin's fantasy appeal is limited to the deepest of fantasy leagues and AL-Only formats, even with a plus-matchup.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
