4 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela was placed on the COVID-19 injured list because of side effects from the vaccine, explaining why he was scratched from Friday's lineup. Players placed on the COVID-19 injured list can be reactivated as soon as they are healthy, so Urshela should be back in the team's lineup within the next day or two. The Yankees recalled first baseman Mike Ford from their alternate site to fill Urshela's roster spot, but fantasy managers should expect Ford to be optioned back to the alternate site once Urshela returns.--Sam Chinitz
