4 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel is off to a strong start this season heading into Friday's action. Through his first 26 at-bats, Gurriel is slashing .346/.469/.500 and has three multiple-hit games. Gurriel now gets a favorable matchup Friday against left-handed starter Sean Manaea. The 36-year-old posted a .565 slugging percentage against lefties last season and sports a .290 career batting average against Manaea through 31 plate appearances.
