4 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Mike Ford was optioned back to the team's alternate site following Friday's game against the Rays. Ford was called up to replace third baseman Gio Urshela (illness) on the team's roster as Urshela dealt with side effects from the coronavirus vaccine, so Ford's short stay with the team was expected. Fantasy managers should expect Ford to receive limited playing time opportunities over the rest of the season, and Urshela should rejoin the team this weekend.--Sam Chinitz
