4 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Tyler Chatwood (biceps) hit the injured list on Friday. The veteran hurler had appeared in three games this season with four hits, one walk, and three strikeouts in 2.2 shutout innings. Traditionally a starter, this is the first season that Chatwood is working exclusively as a reliever so unfamiliarity with the routines and the rigors of pitching on short rest could have led to the issue. He had been asked to pitch three times in five days. When he returns from the right biceps injury, Chatwood may need to be used a little more cautiously until he acclimates himself to the new role.
