4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Kohei Arihara struggled with his command on Friday night as the club was no-hit by opposing pitcher Joe Musgrove of the San Diego Padres. The Japanese hurler allowed five hits in four innings of work and struck out just one batter. His lone whiff came against the first batter of the game. Arihara survived the uneven performance with just three runs allowed (two earned) and also showed decent control with just one walk. He was able to minimize the damage from being unable to miss bats by keeping the ball on the ground. He induced seven ground-ball outs. Arihara has allowed 11 hits and five earned runs with just two strikeouts in nine innings so far this season.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
