4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher John King provided two innings of shutout relief during Friday night's 3-0 loss which saw the club no-hit by opposing pitcher Joe Musgrove of the San Diego Padres. The Rangers lefty allowed two hits, did not walk a batter and struck out four. King last pitched on April 3 when he allowed four runs (one earned) during an inning of work against the Kansas City Royals. In three games this season, King has allowed six hits but he has yet to issue a walk and he's struck out five batters. The 26-year-old reliever was originally selected in the 10th round of the 2017 amateur draft. He made six appearances for the Rangers in 2020 and posted an ERA of 6.10. Prior to that, King had not pitched above A-ball.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
