4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt (back) told reporters early Saturday that he will be back in the lineup against the Adrian Houser and the Brewers, according to Zachary Silver of MLB.com. Goldschmidt said that his back had tightened up on him when the team returned to St. Louis Wednesday, and shortly before first pitch of Thursday's game it was announced he was held out with lower back tightness. It sounds like he is good to go again, but managers should keep an eye on Goldschmidt the next few days in case this becomes a lingering issue.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
