4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Kwang Hyun Kim (back) could return to the rotation by next weekend, according to MLB.com's Zachary Silver. Kim has been out with back tightness since Spring Training, and now he is scheduled to throw a simulated game at the alternate site on Sunday, where he is expected to throw 85 to 90 pitches. Manager Mike Shildt said that if all goes well, the team believes Kim could return to the rotation some time during their road trip against the Phillies and Nationals. The strikeouts weren't really there for Kim in 2020, but he looked solid otherwise with a 3-0 record, 1.62 ERA and 1.026 WHIP in seven starts and one relief appearance.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
