Yusei Kikuchi Solid In No-Decision
4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi had a solid outing Saturday against a tough Minnesota Twins lineup, throwing six innings of two-run ball while allowing five hits and two walks. Kikuchi also added six strikeouts. After managing to get out of trouble in both the first and fourth innings, the only blemish on Kikuchi's day was a two-run home run to ageless slugger Nelson Cruz. Kikuchi is now the first Mariners starter since Mike Leake in 2019 to open the season with consecutive quality starts. Kikuchi remains an under-the-radar solid fantasy option.
