4 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Chris Archer (forearm) has been placed on the 10-day injured list after exiting Saturday's game early, according to MLB.com's Adam Berry. It was announced that Archer had left Saturday's game early due to right lateral forearm tightness, but Archer said that he doesn't expect he will be out too long, adding that it was "definitely a sigh of relief to find out it was nothing serious." It sounds like Archer has avoided missing significant time, and should be back sooner than later. He had a rough go in his first outing against Miami, but in his start Saturday against the Yankees he had allowed three hits and no runs while striking out four in 2 1/3 innings. When he returns, he should be a solid streaming option in most formats.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
