Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Moved Up To Third Spot
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been moved up to the third spot in the lineup. With most of the team struggling to hit, he's one of the few bright spots in the lineup. The club is 25th in the majors in OPS at .617 and the club's collective batting average of .202 is 24th. Guerrero Jr. leads the Jays in OPS at 1.155 and batting average at .360. He also has an impressive BB-K of 6-6 through eight games. Last season, the 22-year-old infielder reported for the season out of shape and produced a 112 wRC+. So far this season, after getting in better shape during the offseason, he has a 219 wRC+.
