4 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Cristian Javier was optioned to the team's alternate site on Saturday, according to Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle. Rome reports that the move is in advance of Jake Odorizzi joining the team next week. Javier is off to a good start this year, posting a 2.08 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings, albeit both of his two starts have come against the struggling Oakland Athletics. He should be back up in Houston's rotation sometime in the near future.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
