4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Dinelson Lamet (elbow) threw 56 pitches Friday in an alternate site contest versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. Lamet continues to ramp up activities as he recovers from biceps/elbow issues. The 28-year-old put up Cy Young-caliber numbers in 2020 with a 2.09 ERA and 35 percent strikeout rate in 69 innings prior to being shut down at the end of the year. The Friars hinted he could be activated as soon as the next series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Whether he rejoins the club this week or shortly thereafter, it's looking like the Padres and fantasy managers should have him back soon.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
