Raimel Tapia Reaches Three Times in Loss
4 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles, an RBI, a walk, a stolen base, as well as a caught stealing in the 4-3 loss to the Giants on Saturday. After starting the season as the leadoff batter, Tapia has now hit sixth in back-to-back games. He singled in Charlie Blackmon to put the Rockies on the board in the fourth inning and stole second in the same frame. He walked later in the sixth inning but was nabbed trying to steal second again. Tapia has picked it up at the plate lately after a slow start to begin the year so perhaps moving down in the batting order has served as a catalyst. He's now working on a mini three-game hitting streak. For the season, the 27-year-old is slashing .258/.281/.355 with one home run and four RBI over 31 at-bats. Fantasy managers should stick with him as he's a career .284 hitter and sees consistent at-bats while playing half of his games in the friendly confines of Coors Field.
