4 years agoCincinnati Reds shortstop Eugenio Suarez went 2-for-3 with two runs, a walk, and a solo homer in an 8-3 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. Suarez connected with an eighth-inning pitch to log his second home run of the young season. The veteran is off to a slow start this season, hitting .200 with the two homers, seven runs, and four RBI in 25 at-bats. Perhaps adding to the slow start, his transition from third base to shortstop hasn't been all that smooth, with Suarez committing three errors thus far. That being said, the Reds seem committed to the experiment, so look for Suarez to have shortstop eligibility soon in most leagues. The veteran has a long track record of success at the plate, so fantasy gamers will want to stay patient with him.--Matt T - RotoBaller
