4 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa showed off some rare power during Saturday's 7-4 loss against the San Diego Padres. The former catcher went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run. He also drove in three runs. Kiner-Falefa has consistently been one of the club's best hitters so far this season with nine hits in 33 at-bats (.273). The power output has been a pleasant surprise with four of his hits going for extra bases including two home runs (.515 slugging percentage). Kiner-Falefa's previous career-best slugging percentage sits at .370. If the young hitter can keep up the increased power, he has a significant amount of fantasy value because he has catcher eligibility in most leagues.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
