4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Jordan Lyles had a rough second outing of the season. The veteran right-hander allowed three runs over 4.1 innings of work. He gave up six hits and two walks while striking out just one batter. Control was not an issue for Lyles as he threw 50 of his 78 pitches for strikes (65%) but he lacked command in the zone and allowed two home runs. Lyles also couldn't find a reliable put-away offering. He's now allowed 11 hits and five runs through 10 innings this season. Last season with Texas, Lyles allowed 67 hits and posted a 7.02 ERA in 57.2 innings. With limited pitching depth in the organization, he's likely in no danger of losing his roster spot.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
