4 years agoThe game between the New York Mets and the Miami Marlins was suspended in the top of the first inning on Sunday due to rain. The game got underway with Corey Dickerson hitting a single and Starling Marte flying out against Marcus Stroman before the action was halted. Marlins starter John Curtiss had yet to take to the mound. The game had been delayed more than two hours when the action started. Stroman expressed frustration after the suspension of the game and stated that it should never have been attempted. He said it put everyone at risk of injury. The game is scheduled to resume on Aug. 31 at 1:10 p.m. ET as part of a split doubleheader.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
