Mike Foltynewicz Allows Just One Run In Seven Innings
4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Mike Foltynewicz had a much better second start of the season on Sunday although he was the hard-luck loser in a 2-0 loss to the San Diego Padres. The veteran right-hander gave up just one run on a solo homer to Trent Grisham in seven innings of work. In total, Foltynewicz allowed two hits and three walks while striking out three batters. In his first start, he gave up four runs in four innings of work. The 29-year-old hurler is known for his inconsistencies so the Rangers will hope that he can shake that and provide another solid performance next time out. Last season, he appeared in just one game with the Atlanta Braves.
