4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. was activated from the COVID-19 injured list on Monday after he recovered from side effects from the vaccine. He will play in tonight's game against the New York Yankees and will face a stiff test versus ace right-hander Gerrit Cole. So far this season, Gurriel Jr. is hitting just .192 with a BB-K of 0-7 through seven games. He'll hit out of the No. 6 spot sandwiched between two other struggling players: Cavan Biggio and Rowdy Tellez. Infielder Santiago Espinal, who was added to the active roster on the weekend, was returned to the alternate training site.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
