4 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Triston McKenzie pitched four innings, allowing three earned runs off two hits and two walks while striking out six in Monday night's game against the Chicago White Sox. McKenzie started fast, as he struck out the side in the first inning, but he labored in the third and walked two of the first three hitters he faced before allowing a three-run shot to Adam Eaton. In total, McKenzie threw 76 pitches in his first start of the season, which is good to see. It is just unfortunate he could not get beyond the fourth inning. That being said, he has surely done enough to keep himself in this rotation moving forward and he should continue to get better as the season progresses. He will make his next start this weekend on the road against the Cincinnati Reds.--Kipp Heisterman - RotoBaller
