Rafael Montero Blows Third Save
4 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Rafael Montero entered the first half of Seattle's double-header Tuesday with a one-run lead to protect, and promptly gave up that lead by way of two hits and a walk. It was Rafael Montero's third blown save in just six appearances. Montero's numbers are better than the blown saves would make it seem, as he still carries only a .95 WHIP with eight strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings, but it stands to reason that manager Scott Servais could be wavering in his support with Kendall Graveman waiting in the wings. Fantasy managers should hold for now.
