Adolis Garcia Promoted From Minors
4 years agoThe Texas Rangers have selected the contract of outfielder Adolis Garcia from the club's alternate training site. He is in tonight's game against Ryan Yarbrough and the Tampa Bay Rays. The 28-year-old Cuban is taking the place of the injured first baseman Ronald Guzman (knee) who was hurt in Monday's game. Garcia had an outstanding spring and reportedly came close to making the club. He hit .375 with a 1.170 OPS and four stolen bases in 22 games. Garcia originally broke into the majors with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2018 and has appeared in 24 career MLB games with a -34 wRC+ so temper your enthusiasm in fantasy baseball.
