4 years agoLos Angeles Angels catcher Max Stassi (thumb) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with a left thumb sprain, according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. Stassi sprained his thumb on a foul tip in the first inning of Monday's game, but he remained in the game until he was pinch-hit for in the seventh inning. Manager Joe Maddon said the team is hoping that it will only sideline Stassi for about 10 to 14 days, but there is no firm timetable for his return at the moment. With Stassi out, the Angels have recalled catcher Anthony Bemboom.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
