4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola allowed three runs in five innings in a loss to the Mets on Tuesday. Nola clearly didn't have it in this one as he was pumping 90 MPH fastballs up there as he labored through the fifth inning. Assuming Nola is healthy - there were no reports indicating he was dealing with an injury - this underwhelming start is actually an encouraging sign for fantasy managers. We know Nola's upside is an elite SP1. This start was clearly not his best effort but he still managed to get through five innings with a respectable ERA and seven strikeouts. Nola has a high-floor as evidenced by this start and will look to get back to his dominant ways on Sunday versus the Cardinals.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
