Corey Kluber Allows Three Runs On Wednesday
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Corey Kluber was mediocre on Wednesday, allowing three runs over four innings against the Blue Jays. Under the hood, though, Kluber showed some encouraging signs. Notably, Kluber's velocity was mostly back up to his 2019 numbers after sitting significantly lower during his first two starts. Additionally, Kluber's cutter generated an impressive 10 swings and misses for the game, good for a swinging-strike rate north of 30%. Kluber is still far from being a must-start pitcher, but fantasy managers should view Wednesday's start as a step in the right direction.
