4 years agoNew York Mets right-handed reliever Dellin Betances (shoulder) won't travel with the team for their upcoming road trip against Colorado and Chicago, despite the fact that he is eligible to come off the injured list on Sunday. Betances has not yet started throwing, suggesting he will be sidelined well beyond the minimum 10 days after his placement on the IL last Thursday. The oft-injured Betances has shown a decline in velocity over the past two seasons, including this past spring training. Betances, coming off a late-season lat injury in 2020, and shoulder and Achillies injuries in 2019, has not been healthy since joining the Mets prior to the 2020 campaign. Betances, a huge bust for the Mets who signed him to a deal prior to the 2020 season, should be left on fantasy waiver wires.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
