4 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve, catcher Martin Maldonado, third baseman Alex Bregman, designated hitter Yordan Alvarez and infielder Robel Garcia were placed on the COVID-19 injured list on Wednesday afternoon, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network. Heyman adds that there is word that there is one known person has potentially tested positive for COVID-19, but the team has not yet confirmed that report. Officially all five players were placed on the list due to health and safety protocols. As of 40 minutes before the scheduled first pitch of tonight's Astros-Tigers game, it is believed the game will still be played.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
