Yoan Moncada Drives In Two Runs In Wednesday's Victory
4 years agoChicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada went 1-for-4 with a single and two RBI versus the Cleveland Indians in Wednesday's victory. Moncada has been ice cold to start the 2021 campaign and is hitting a weak .186 batting average to go along with a .579 OPS, one home run and four RBI. The bigger concern is his plate discipline and that has been his biggest weakness throughout his career. The third baseman has now struck out 16 times on the season and has only drawn five walks. Moncada is coming off of a poor 2020 campaign and 2021 hasn't started much better. Those rostering Moncada would be better off remaining patient and hope that he turns the corner sooner than later. When Moncada puts everything together, he can help across the board and he makes for an intriguing buy-low candidate if their manager is feeling frustrated and ready to move on.
