4 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo had two walks and a single during Wednesday night's 5-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. He's now hitting .270 on the season but surprisingly has only one extra-base hit (a home run) in 12 games. He's offset the lack of power by stealing two bases in as many tries. Gallo also has an impressive 21.6% walk rate and his strikeout rate of 27.5% is currently at a career low. The 27-year-old will no doubt hit for much more power as the season progresses but he's doing more than enough to be a valuable fantasy contributor right now — especially in on-base leagues.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
