4 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Nick Williams has been designated for assignment. Williams started three games in left field this season and didn't record a hit in 10 at-bats. Williams exit from the White Sox should open up more playing time top hitting prospect Andrew Vaughn. Vaughn has struggled early on, but has shown patience at the plate. Outfielder Adam Engel (hamstring) is also expected to return to the club as early as next weekend and is expected to take over in left field when that happens.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
