4 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers will be behind the plate for Thursday's game against the Red Sox, with Mitch Garver getting a day off. Jeffers will bat eighth against Red Sox right-hander Garrett Richards, who allowed two home runs in his last outing against the Orioles. Jeffers has just three hits in 17 at-bats this year, though all three of his career homers at the big-league level have come against right-handed pitching, so this is potentially a good matchup for him to get going.--Tim Capurso
