Mickey Moniak Making Season Debut Friday
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Mickey Moniak is in the lineup playing center field Friday in a home game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Moniak will bat eighth versus Cardinals righty Carlos Martinez. The 22-year-old only has 18 Big League plate appearances under his belt so he's not a player to rush out and add in redraft leagues. He'll have an opportunity to run with this job, however, as Roman Quinn (.050 BA) is not hitting at all and Adam Haseley (personal) is away from the team. Moniak swiped 15 bases in 2019 playing in Double-A so he'll have some appeal in NL-Only leagues if he can stick in the lineup. Moniak is a bargain for DFS players on Friday looking for a punt-play as he carries the minimum price tag.
