4 years agoChase Elliott had enough in the tank to surge to second place late during last Sunday's race at Martinsville. The Hendrick Motorsports driver got past Denny Hamlin but could not catch Martin Truex Jr. It was Elliott's second runner-up of the 2021 season. He was a mere couple of seconds from winning in the end. The Chevy racer has 17 to 2 odds to win this week at the Richmond Raceway. Elliott expects to contend again as his long run last week should give him hope for Sunday's race and a chance to win.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
