Jeff Hoffman Excellent In Win Over Cleveland
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Jeff Hoffman was excellent in his start in a 10-3 win over the Cleveland Indians on Friday. Hoffman tossed six innings of one-run ball while striking out four and walking three to earn his second win of the season. The veteran hurler now has a 2-1 record, 2.93 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and 12 strikeouts across 15 1/3 innings of work. Hoffman will hold onto the fifth spot in the starting rotation for the foreseeable future with Michael Lorenzen not eligible to be activated from the injured list until the end of May. Hoffman was a first-round draft pick once upon a time and is finally free of Coors Field after spending the first five seasons of his career with the Colorado Rockies. Fantasy gamers can consider Hoffman as a decent streamer in plus matchups going forward.
