Chi Chi Gonzalez Gets No-Decision In Game 1 On Saturday
4 years agoColorado Rockies right-hander Chi Chi Gonzalez was given a no-decision in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the New York Mets. He allowed one run on six hits with three strikeouts and one walk over five innings in a 4-3 loss. Gonzalez did a fine job holding down the Mets offense on Saturday. The only run he gave up came via a Pete Alonso RBI single in the top of the third inning. He had to put forth his best effort with Jacob deGrom dealing on the other side. The 29-year-old has put up a respectable 3.00 ERA over his 15 innings (three starts) to begin the season but he has a 1.47 WHIP and 8:7 K/BB ratio. He's hard to trust for fantasy purposes with his low strikeout upside and high WHIP. He'll get the Phillies at home in his next start.
