Josh Fuentes Drives In Four In Game 2 Of Doubleheader
4 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman Josh Fuentes went 1-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in a 7-2 win over the Mets in Game 2 of a doubleheader on Saturday. Fuentes picked up his first RBI in the first inning with a groundout to score Charlie Blackmon. He then took reliever Jacob Barnes deep for a three-run blast in the bottom of the fifth to put the Rockies up 7-2. The 28-year-old has struggled to start the year with a .188/.188/.333 batting line over his first 48 at-bats. He does have two home runs and nine RBI, though, and has upside if he can cut down on the strikeouts and get on base more frequently. He's struck out 14 times and drawn no walks thus far.
