Nick Margevicius Exits Early With Apparent Injury
4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Nick Margevicius (arm) was forced out of the game Sunday afternoon with an apparent injury after throwing four innings of one-hit ball against the Houston Astros. He seemed to be suddenly, uncharacteristically wild, and left the field with the athletic trainer. It was Margevicius's second start of the season after replacing the injured James Paxton in the rotation. If Margevicius is forced to miss time, it would appear that Ljay Newsome, who replaced Margevicius for the fifth inning, would be first in line for starts, at least until Logan Gilbert is ready. More information will be forthcoming, but Margevicius can be safely dropped in all leagues whether he misses time or not.
