Dominic Smith Hitless On Sunday
4 years agoNew York Mets first baseman/outfielder Dominic Smith went 0-for-4 in the Mets' 2-1 win over the Rockies on Sunday, dropping his batting average to .229 on the season over 35 at-bats. Despite the poor day at the plate, looking beyond the box score, Smith hit the ball on the nose in three of his four ABs. As such, even though he went hitless on Sunday, it does appear that he may be on the verge of heating up. Now hitting third consistently in the Mets' lineup between shortstop Francisco Lindor and first baseman Pete Alonso, fantasy managers should continue to keep Smith active in all formats. Notwithstanding the slow start to 2021, Smith has the potential to breakout on any given day.
