Matt Olson Heating Up After Slow Start
4 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson is heating up at the plate after a slow start to the season in some brutal matchups. Over the last week, the big first baseman is batting .375 with three homers and seven RBI as it's not a coincidence the A's eight-game win streak is being fueled by Olson and Matt Chapman, whose bat has also come alive. Olson is scorching the ball with a 93.4 average exit velocity that is in the top-10 percent of hitters and an expected slugging percentage at a cool .574. Oakland's next series with Minnesota is up in the air as the Twins deal with COVID, but Olson should be locked into fantasy lineups when the A's do return to play, hopefully in a doubleheader on Tuesday, pending the Twins virus protocols.
