4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies shortstop Didi Gregorius (elbow) will be out of Monday's lineup versus the San Francisco Giants. Manager Joe Girardi said that Gregorius is dealing with some swelling in his elbow and needed a day off. The injury doesn't sound serious and Gregorius should be treated as day-to-day. The shortstop has been off to a nice start and is hitting .296 with two home runs and 10 RBI. Shortstop Nick Maton will make his major league debut in place of Gregorius and bat eighth versus Kevin Gausman. Maton can be avoided on Monday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
