4 years agoSeattle Mariners designated hitter Ty France (forearm) was forced out of Tuesday's contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers after being hit by a pitch. Dustin May dotted France on the right forearm with a 98 MPH fastball in the bottom of the fifth inning. France stayed in the game to run the bases, but was forced to exit after he was unable to successfully make warm-up throws from second base before the top of the sixth inning. France was replaced in the game by Sam Haggerty, and seems sure to be headed for X-rays. Fantasy managers will be holding their breath, as France has been an excellent performer in the early season.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
