4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Alex Kirilloff won't be recalled from the team's alternate site while the big club is on a road trip. Manager Rocco Baldelli didn't mention Kirilloff by name, though he indicated that the team didn't want players traveling from coast to coast during the pandemic. It's unfortunate timing for Kirilloff, as Twins' outfielders Max Kepler (COVID-19) and Kyle Garlick (COVID-19) were placed on the COVID-19 injured list Tuesday. The Twins will return to Minnesota for a three-game set against the Pirates starting on Friday- so Kirilloff could get the call then if the team is still short on outfielders.--Tim Capurso
